The future is flexible
Mobility matters. Pretty soon, having some form of mobile working policy will be essential to the longevity of your organisation as Millennials step up to steer the future in a more nomadic direction. According to a survey conducted by FlexJobs in 2015), 85% of millennials want to telecommute 100% of the time and 84% place a greater emphasis on creating an enhanced work-life balance. Not only this, but in 2015 Millennials surpassed Generation X and became the majority generation at work. Looks like the future’s arrived!
Go remote, go the distance
There’s a reason why employers are responding so readily to the change in tide and that’s because mobility means more – more financial benefits for your business and, with the majority of workers saying that mobility reduces daily pressures, it’s safe to assume that it also means more to employees on a personal level too.
Other financial benefits include reduced overhead costs, improved productivity, lower staff turnover and greater collaboration or cooperation. The no-limits approach to talent acquisition also means that businesses don’t have any geographical barriers when it comes to hiring (and keeping) the right people for the role.
Embracing mobility is so much easier with the help of technology advancements and employers are probably better equipped than they realise to take on the mobility challenge. For example, we’d like to bet that your organisation already has some form of Cloud-based implementation – even if it’s just for storing documents. That means you already understand the value of having access to information anywhere, anytime – while the rest is just a work-in-progress that we can easily help you with.
